Andrea Borders, DNP, MSN, AGACNP-BC, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dwyer School of Health Sciences at Indiana University South Bend. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana. Andrea is a board-certified Adult-Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and also holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Nutrition and Food Science, and Nursing from Wayne State University.
With expertise in complex illness management and a passion for teaching physical assessment, family health, and advanced nursing practice, Andrea is dedicated to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her teaching emphasizes evidence-based care, clinical judgment, and holistic approaches to health and wellness. In addition to her academic role, she maintains an active clinical practice in holistic medicine, promoting prevention, wellness, and patient-centered care across the lifespan.
